I recently migrated north a few blocks from the Mount Vernon Square neighborhood into Shaw proper. At my old location, I always had mixed feelings about big events at the Convention Center, as they brought hordes of people and double parked cars into my neighborhood. I now think I'm outside the envelope of convention-going double-parkers, but still within easy walking distance. All that to say, artDC this weekend has piqued my curiosity. It may not be the Armory Show or the Whitney Biennial, but it still looks pretty good. If anyone gets a preview, I'd love to hear your impressions.
